So many of you have such incredible photos you are sharing of organization ideas, classroom libraries, bulletin boards, student desk set ups, etc....But we need more!! I am heading to my classroom on Monday so I will take and post before and after shots beginning Tuesday. Would anyone care to share now?

    I have a free account set-up at www.photobucket.com .

Download your pics to photobucket then insert the image by right clicking on the "IMG CODE" under each pick, the finally paste it into your tread.

Thanks about my room. I love the brightness!

Here are a few more for your viewing pleasure!

No trick! I have two windows back in the corner of my lab. Not a good source of light at all. Most times I have the blinds closed to help keep the room cool.

Oh! Oklahoma....it DOES get HOT HOT HOT!!! I lived in north Texas for a year 2 years ago and we had no windows in the classrooms. Made me crazy!!! Then at the end of the day, I'd go to my car and be blinded by the sunlight and knocked out by the heat! I always expected to find my poor car tires melted into the ground. Never did understand how my car didn't just BLOW UP!! I was happy to come back to Illinois where the weather gets cold!! That was too scary!!

I will try to post some pics next week...I changed grade levels (from K to 5th) so I had to move rooms and unpack everything...It's so different setting up a 5th grade room!

Here are some photos of what my classroom looked like last year. I'm now in a different room and teaching 5th grade, so my setup is somewhat different, but not by much. As soon as I get pictures taken next week, I'll be posting them on the site.

I remember this from last summer!!! Your room is so nicely organized! I really like the chart for your writing process....I love the way it's worded in student-friendly language. I'm writing it down and I'll make my own signs! Thanks!!

BTW...which grade level were you teaching in this room?

I taught 4th grade last year. I worked in my room last week, so it's pretty much set up, with the exception of my Workshop Way board, which changed a bit. After I get that all set up, I'll post some pictures. I have to say, I absolutely love my room this year! It took a TON of work to set up because I had to organize all the materials in the room and unpack my stuff and organize it, too. Needless to say, I don't care what subject/grade I have to teach, I'm not moving rooms again. :)

I love the Apprentice Desk Organizer! I am a huge fan of organization and this does it all. I can use hanging files, store pens/pencils/markers, books, notes, etc. all in one handy dandy organizer. It allows me to have a clutter free desk, too, which is a must. :)

They're actually pieces of construction to display student work on. I have some outside of my room for students to display self-selected work. The ones in my room were used to display writing assignments.

Thanks! We're not allowed to do all the other fancy stuff teachers get to do (i.e. paint the walls, hang things from the ceiling), so I have to be creative/colorful where I can. :)

What do you use to attach the writing to the construction paper? I have always used clothes pins, but that can be a pain to create.

TXTeacher4: I use these clips that I bought at Office Max that allow me to put two hole punches at the top of the paper and slide papers onto the clips.

CLZTEACH: I have two laptop carts in my room, which gives me 10 laptops at all times. They have been absolutely wonderful!

I took pictures of my room today, but I haven't resized them and uploaded them to my photobucket account yet. I'll post mine tomorrow. I only managed to upload one photo before DH asked me to go to an audition with him . . . so I dropped everything and went.

    Here's the one!

Very nice! Your conference corner where the horseshoe table is looks very inviting. I'd want to be there all day!
So which room do you like better? Your old one or your new one?

Mine (first pics posted) are of a high school science room. I don't really have a lot of "science" decorations. Most of my decor is quotes I printed on bright cardstock with fun fonts. Some of the quotes are science related, but a majority are more about character, honesty , etc.

    Best of luck!

    Calalilys...

On your desk you look like you have an awesome organizer with room in the middle and on all sides for papers and storage. I've never seen one; do you remember where you got it?
I am hoping to hang up const. paper on the walls this year as well for easily displaying student work/writing. Is it really as easy as it looks to manage?? Thanks! :)

I made them several years ago during student teaching for a compentancy I had to fill.

I got most of the info from this website http://www.florida-agriculture.com/consumers/careers.htm . I really liked this site because it included courses to consider in hs. Then I just added some pictures from the net that went along with each career. Many of the careers I have highlighted on my bb focus on science in agriculture, as Oklahoma's largest industry is ag.

    Thanks!
