I saw a chant/poem for teaching the months of the year that was modeled on the Brown Bear, Brown Bear book. It began, "January, January, what do you see? I see snowflakes falling on me." and continued throughout the year. I wish i could remember where I read it- does anyone have a copy to share? Thanks!

Last year I used Maurice Sendak's poem 'Chicken Soup With Rice'. We even made chicken soup for lunch. The kids really enjoyed reciting the poem each morning.

On one of the Greg and Steve's CDs there is a months of the year song in English and then in Spanish. We sang it every morning last year and my students loved it.
