I have recently made the decision to return to Ireland after working in the US,UK and Asia for the past 10 yrs as both a Montessori teacher and Montessori School Principal. Finding a suitable position is difficult and I need to know where and how to start to look. I would be interested in either the Montessori or Special Needs fields.
    Any advise would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Hi I ve just done the opposite - I moved from Ireland to Usa and I got my Montessori qualification there. St. Nicholas is really expensive and a long program. My advice to you would be get a job as an assistant in a montessori (or a creche with montessori classes) and go to Portobello School (on Dominic St, Dublin 2) for your cert - I took the night course there and with materials etc it came to about 2500 Euro and, apart from the fact that they refuse to mail my certificate to the US, I found them fine. The course is quite intensive, but quick. Good luck
