    Hello,
I am currently doing a self-directed internship in my own 4,5,6th grade classroom. I am working on my shelf presentation. Problem is that the Language Arts training really was for the 1,2,3rd level and my students have already completed the work. So far I have fourth working on Nouns, fifth working on sentence diagraming, and sixth will start with sentence analysis. I am looking for ideas for the upper level. Thank you very much.

Do you have the language drawers from montessori research and development? They are usually housed in tall blue, 60 drawer, Utility cabinets we call sky scrappers.

What about the Neinhaus grammar boxes?

Research is commonly used for language skills and sentence development. Just curious what Montessori materials are you using?

the skyscrappers are from home depot but the cards are from montessori research and development.
A1-A10 are compounds that you have to combine the two root words together
B1-B10 are also compounds but you have to seperate the joined words
then there are drawers for suffixes, prefixes, etc...

Thank you. I set that up at the end of the year last year for this year. Right now I have a spelling shelf, 4th grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade shelves.
Thank you I really appreciate all of the help,
    Stephanie

Hey Jennie, I sent you a pm, I am trying to get you the information, easiest as possible.... please get back to me as I will try and burn you a copy of the entire files of grammar boxes. (then you can alternate the font size as needed) Ruth

looking for the contents of the grammar boxes

    Hello,
My name is Patrick Verschuur and I am a Dutch Montessori teacher who lives and works in Finland. There is no Montessori culture here, so at the moment I am working on a normal primary school. I have a combined 1st and 2nd grade international class. I teach in English. I would like to try to transform this school into a Montessori school, because that would be a very good solution for all the various problems the have here. First I will start in my own class and show how good the Montessori system is. Unfortunately at the moment there is no budget to order Montessori materials. I was already making my own stamp game and bead stairs. For my next step I would like to start with the grammar boxes. Who can hand me a file with the contents of the grammar boxes, so I can make my own cards?
Also, who has something on file for the reading cupboard with the four reading shelves?
That would help me a lot to promote Montessori in this country. I already made a lot of changes, and at the moment I am working in a Montessori way, but am still using normal books for Math and English.

    Thank you,

    Patrick Verschuur
