Do you have any former college/university instructors who you can reach?? Wouldn’t hurt to have a back up reference ready.

Preschool jobs usually need 3 references on file.

I’m hoping you hear good news soon!

I personally didn't like the idea of working in a migrant Head Start because there was a lot of turnover in staff, constant enrollment changes, and migrant children are not required to have ANY immunizations or health records. That was in CA at the time. I don't know if it is still the case. I was a little concerned about working with children with no health screenings or immunizations. See my "Sick of Being Sick" thread.

I do hope it works out for you. But I am a bit confused. In my state, you have to complete student teaching in an unpaid status. We have 16 weeks, 8 weeks in two different grade levels. Also, we have a credential for Pre-K -3rd, K-8 and grades 9-12. So I am certified to teach Pre-K to 3rd ages 0-8. K-9 teacher could not get a preschool job without any early childhood (ECE) coursework. My real question would be - What grade do you want to teach? Preschool may or may not be part of an elementary setting. IRS doesn't even consider it as a grade.
