Just wondering how many of us Midwesterners got snow. They made a big deal of the Northeast Storm last week!! Not saying not worth the concern... but we just got like 14 inches in 24 hours here as well!!! All the schools & Universities around us are closed... actually closed last night!!!

We got the very top end of the storm; about 6 inches or so on the ground this morning and more fell this morning. South and west of us got much more. Thankfully, our neighbour was out with his snowblower this morning and did our driveway, but I'll have to shovel when I get home.

We have a PA Day today, so no kids to worry about, but at the school boards around us, either buses were cancelled or schools were closed (very rare here). We had meetings this morning and have this afternoon to work on report cards; our principal was very understanding that there were several staff members who couldn't make it in today.

I know hubby had to snowblow the driveway this morning before he could leave for work!!! LOL!!! I usually do it... but I think the snow would've been up to middle of my legs. LOL!!!

Central Ohio had snow until noon yesterday, which turned to rain. It was 41F (5C) when I went to bed! This afternoon, however, it is 19F (-7C). We have some ice but not too much. That being said, Northern Ohio is a mess of snow.

Yep. I'd estimate we got about 8 or 9 inches of snow with a supposed ice storm coming later. :eek:hmy:

Lauren's school is closed today as well. Sun's out here now. We're forecast to get a couple of centimeters every day this week.

I was really hoping this system would mean snow for us, but it ended up moving further north. We just got a few flurries. Other than a couple inches in November, we're in quite the "snow drought" here.

We got around 7 or 8 inches where I am. It started coming down in huge wet flakes Saturday morning. By Saturday night there was wet slush everywhere. By Sunday morning the snow was falling thick, and under all that snow was a sheet of ice (the frozen slush). They called a snow day for today at about 2:30 yesterday afternoon. Tonight the weatherman said we could get another 1-3 inches of snow on Wednesday.

We were predicted for 6-8 inches, but got zip. A lot of grumpy kids (and some teachers!) today.

Southeastern Michigan and we got 16 inches. School is called off for tomorrow too. Main roads are fine but our district is all back roads and the buses can't get through.

My best friend in Indiana said the weather was horrible. It snowed yesterday and was freezing and windy today. She didn't say how much, but it was enough for her to complain about driving in it! Lol
We got about 4" in my area of PA overnight, then this morning was several hours of rain/freezing rain/sleet followed this afternoon by blowing winds and deep freeze.

I grew up in the Kansas City area, but have been in Charlotte now for 28 years. The 10-12 inches of snow we got last year was our first decent snow in 15 years. My kindergartners most years don't even know what snow is. I miss it! Send it here!

2 days in a row big school closed near us. You know it's bad when this one closes. Our district open. More snow tonight 1-4 inches.

We got about 18" of snow. Hubs did the driveway 2 times on Sunday and again after it stopped snowing yesterday. Thankfully, the neighbor also helped a couple of times. My college student that lives at home didn't have class yesterday. None of us went anywhere!

    I'm home again today.
