I have a serious question. Should I have the generalist endorsement? I feel like everyone tells me Math and Science are more important than ELA and SS.

I have la and ss in Ohio. I found it hard to find a job and worked in a christian school first, then a magnet school, and now a regular public school.

I don't think math and science are more important, but they might be more in demand.

I think that depends on what you want to teach and where you want to teach. Having the generalist endorsement should make you more marketable and allow you to apply to more jobs, but if you truly only want to teach ELA and SS, then you might not want to put yourself in a position to be asked to teach Science or Math.
