Is there one Michael Jacson song that is a hit in your books?

The one I'm choosing is very old and made when MJ was part of the Jackson 5; but it's so sweet and was used during a movie about a boy and a rat! LOL
MJ was so precious back then! Those were my good ole days.

There's more than just one song I like equally.

Man in the Mirror - I think I like this tune the best
    Bad
    Smooth Criminal
    Dirty Diana
    Black or White
    Remember the Times

I'm sure I'm forgetting another couple or so.

it is scary that he was such a cute kid. very ironic he turned out looking the way he did.

I don't mean that disrespectfully. I think it really exemplifies that something went really wrong in his life.

I love Billie Jean and the video for Black and White and Scream. Scream is a bit weird, but that's why I like it!

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever been to a concert of his or even seen him in person?

    I haven't.

My kids are freaking out over all the crouch grabbing in his videos.

Oh then one said, "He must have learned from Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown" - talking about his dance moves.

I thought that was too cute!

I haven't seen him Ms. I, but I had an Aunt who did in the late 80s early 90s!!! I think she actually bought us a shirt. I don't know what happened to that, probably got rid of it.

I can't really pick one song.
I like pretty much all of the videos
The one I like & haven't seen is The Girl is Mine with Paul McCartney...loved that song.

My mother actually went to one of his shows, she said it was amazing!

I never realized she had gone until she told me yesterday.

I had typed up earlier a long explanation about why Man in the Mirror is so special to me, but then decided it was just too sappy! :) There are more memorable songs, and ones I enjoy listening to more, but...

I love the sound of Smooth Criminal. I like the song so much it led me to buy a pretty bad CD from Alien Ant Farm several years ago because I liked their rendition too...that was before iTunes! I really am just a fan of his music in general...so it's pretty difficult to rank songs or even albums.

Yes I saw him in Dallas (actually irving) in 1987. We had tremendous seats- but we stood the whole time. I never saw anything like it. It is totally burned in my memory.

Songs-I'm a huge fan, and I love them all, but I'd say Beat It if I had to pick one.

Ben has recently become a favorite of mine.

"Bad" was always my childhood favorite. I just remember my cousins and I dancing around to them.

"Dangerous" is probably my fave album though. I bought it after Free Willy came out. lol

Teared up listening to this... I remember him when he was just a sweet, innocent little boy.

Dh and I loved "I'll Be There".

I love 'I'll be There" when he sang with his brothers, but also like "Thriller" because of the video - my all time favorite - and I am in my 50's!

"I Want You Back" is probably my fav Jackson 5 song.

I really like all the other songs mentioned in this thread plus "The Way You Make Me Feel"...LOVE dancing to that one, it's a must-play at my wedding.

Love all the songs mentioned! I forgot about 'The Way You Make Me Feel'. Love the way he moved to that song --- well pretty much all his dancing. LOL

Two songs that have some sort of sentimental connection for me is " I want to rock with you" & "Off the Wall". Has to do with coming of age phase -- perhaps.

VH1 is playing videos this morning. Ah so hard to grasp that he is gone!

    :)

    If I have to choose a favorite...and that's tough...

I'd say "You wanna be startin' something"
Not for the words (...which edge on the bizarre) .. but the driving beat.

I became the cheerleading sponsor (with no experience) during my second year of teaching and started a pompom team. This was our premiere dance/half-time presentation in an area that never had anything like this at the jr high age. It was a blast practicing it (I had the girls over to my place for pizza parties-and they would be practicing in our parking lot) it was a HUGE success...and in the next two years, more and more schools started adding pom-pom teams for their basketball seasons.

But we were the first-and this was OUR first. (The other one was Chanka Kahn's "I feel for You".)
