When your (female) SO sends you to the store to buy feminine hygiene products, are you ever tempted to intentionally buy something incorrect just so you won't have to stand like an idiot in that section of the market, staring at a wall of differently-labelled products trying to figure out if "slender" and "thin" mean the same thing, or whether it matters if it's long or has wings?

Also, how much do you want to bet over half the people viewing this post are female?:lol:

My wife and I made a deal long ago.

    She gets the remote.

I don't have to buy anything weird at the store.

(I really don't watch TV, so the joke is really on her.)

If she ever did send me to purchase said items, I darned well better get it right unless I want to go back and stand in line at customer service to return it.

With a title like Men Only, of course I peeked.
Oddly though, I rarely peek at the ones that say Women Only cause I can usually guess at the topic. LOL! :)

I don't have a female SO at this time, but I often did go into the store to get "female products" for my ex when we were married. As long as I had the correct brand and description, I wasn't worried. I normally just looked at the package in the house so I would know what to look for in the store.

If this is a men only thread, I think it should pertain to men only issues. How about those Viagra commercials during the football games? Does it make you feel uncomfortable??? Do you change the channel or turn down the volume?

Kinder I was thinking the same thing except I was going to suggest they talk about hernias or something. (Where is my rofl emoticon when I need it!)

Yeah Kinder I thought the thread would be different...... perhaps jock inch or athletes foot...... I've never had that problem...... maybe because I shower several times a day.........:p:p

As for the Viagra ...... well... I have a beautiful wife 20 years younger than me ..... and I've never seen the need.

I'm sure it is HARD for some men to discuss .... and they probably do turn the volume down ......:lol:

    Major ......... :hugs:

    *CNG pulls Peachy back in.*

Ya know... if you asked sweetly, Amanda might make an "man" section as one of the many many many different sections we have on these discussion forums. It wouldn't do any good though because we women would be too nosy to stay out.

I have to tell you that I read this thread to a neighbor of mine who used to be a teacher and she was hysterical. From a teacher thread she asked?!

My SO has never asked me to go to the store to buy those types of products. Many other things I have had to get at the store for her, but never that. I think she just assumes I would say no, she has to go get that herself, probably true.

Hehe, same here! The only time DH has had to get me products was soon after my son was born. I think he'd prefer not to have to do it again, though he didn't complain.

One time I was in the store and this big football player type was holding his wife's purse so I said, "Nice purse" AND HE SAID absent-mindedly "Thank you" he then realized he was holding the purse , "oh dam you got me" and we both had a good laugh.

Do any of you men use those nice seating areas in the women's clothing stores to wait for your wife while she tried on clothes? I was in Target the other day and a man was IN the dressing room next to mine with his wife/gf giving his opinion on the clothes.... strange or normal???? Does this stuff go on a lot?

My husband buys feminine products with me no problem, but I try not to make him do it too often. It is generally clear that you are buying it for your SO, surely buying other things for yourself are more embarrassing - suppositories, jock itch spray, or rogaine

I've seen it and don't really mind. I went into the men's dressing room (but not the indivdual "stall") so that I could help my husband buy a suit for his mother's funeral...we are NOT dress-up people and it certainly took a group effort to find something. :) No other men were there, so it wasn't really an issue.

    NO!
When I HAVE to go shopping with Terri or my stepdaughter, I look for a chair AND if there isn't one I complain! Since, I AM PAYING, I get a seat! Thank God I have a smart phone with games on it......
If my SO or DD wants to give a fashion show they can do it at home during the commercials during the Football games! They know I have no fashion sense so why ask me?

I use to tell a former parent Nice purse. It was his 3 yr. old daughter's bright pink purse. Oh, he was a former NFL player. He could carry that purse, but it took him a long time to admit to us that he used to play football.
