I found a memory book on Enchanted Learning that I will use for my class. It basically says all the same stuff as above, but I don't need to do the typing or designing.

I remember having a sticker page in my first grade book. the teacher asked all of the kids to bring stickers. We went around to each desk and signed our name and gave each person a sticker. I loved looking at those stickers!

Do you have pictures of them from activities throughout the year on your computer? If so, print them out. Let them cut and glue them to the write and draw paper and viola you have a personal section and they have to do some writing.

I just finished putting together my students' memory books. Each month had a picture, an art project, a writing sample. Some months had more. It was a pain. I am required to do it "Because the parents love it".
I think the best books are ones done by the child, for the child, with the child's work. Keep it simple.

Homeschooling certainly does you out of a yearbook. This year I went to Ollie's and bought a scrapbookish kind of photo album. On the first page is a short paragraph my daughter wrote about each of her classes- what they did, who her friends were, etc. I took pictures at each class and they filled the following pages. I wanted everyone to sign a page but that didn't work out.
