Wow, it's been forever since I logged in here. I was student teaching when I last posted. I've graduated (May 2006) and I've been teaching Seventh Grade Maths since September.

Right now I'm starting a Math Club in my school because I'd like to have some students take part in a national contest in mathematics.

Any suggestions on ways to start off the club?

    Thanks!

Follow this link to information about the Gauss math contest

A Google search may find others for you.

We actually had already registered for the Gauss competition, that was my reasoning for starting the club. I'm just looking for ways to make preparing for the competition fun and less like "gee we're having another math class" :)
