I am blessed to have several computers and 3 iPads in my classroom. I am looking to beef up our links with some more productive web sites. If my kids ask me one more time to do Cool Math I'm going to die! That site is not even real math practice.

Anyway, here's what they use so far:

Literacy: Read Naturally, Spelling City, RAZ Kids, NWEA Games
Math: IXL, NWEA Games, Ninja Math, Fact Practice App

I keep promising them I'll add a couple more choices. Does anyone have any cool literacy or math sites/apps? Preferably free. I have a little money for apps, but no more funds for expensive accounts/licenses. Their abilities range from K-5 and they can use practice at basically anything you can think of.

Foursquare, you might try rummaging around on Richard Byrne's blog Free Technology for Teachers (http://www.freetech4teachers.com): it's a very searchable site, and you should find bunches of goodies, and nearly every. single. site. he mentions is, um... free.

Thank you! This sumdog looks interesting, but I'm having a terrible time navigating it. I think I will sleep and try again tomorrow haha. It's just been that kind of day!

For literacy check out Samson's Classroom and more specifically Sight Words with Samson. It is a great program that the kids love.

My girl is currently using beestar. It's also teacher-recommended. She loves to compete on this site with other kids from a lot of other states.
