So unlike me to start a thread like this, but an ad on the side of the makeup bag thread got me thinking...I'm always on a quest for a great mascara. I try different brands and always go back to the tried and true pink and green tube of Maybelline.
What's your go to? Reviews, please!

Ps...one of my colleagues just had eyelash extensions put on....I just heard about it...definitely checking out her lashes tomorrow.:D

Maybelline pink and green is my favorite, too. I find that it works well with a lash primer for extra length/volume. The primer I use is from Mary Kay.

I am very picky about the ingredients in my makeup...thankfully Urban Decay makes a great mascara. People compliment my lashes regularly...it's really the only "looks" compliment I ever get. Haha. It's called Lush Lash.

The only mascara I really like is Mabelinne the Falsies Volume Express.

I'm another Maybelline pink and green fan.

I remember my mom's mascara when I was a kid. It was cake mascara and came in a little red box that slid open. You added water, and used a flat brush to apply it.

I have no idea why that memory is so vivid.

The only mascara I've ever had that never gets clumps is CoverGirl Lash Exact, also a drugstore brand.

My current faves & I always get it in the blackest black:

High-end: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

    Low-End: L'Oreal Voluminous Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara

Recently bought & have yet to use it, but it has the same type of brush as the Too Faced for a lot cheaper:

Cover Girl Flamed Out Mascara (New)

I seriously doubt any mascara with a name 'better than sex'...just sayin...;)

I use Wet 'n Wild MegaLength because I'm too cheap to spend a lot on mascara. It does the job for me and costs like $3.00 a tube!

My favorite is Mary Kay Ultimate.

It's washable, but stays on great. It makes my thin, fine lashes look great.

I sell Mary Kay now so I use their Ultimate Mascara. Before selling MK, I liked a Loreal mascara in blue-black. I loved that color.

My eyelashes are naturally long, so I just use clear mascara. :)

I like L'Oreal something...Luminous? I know it by sight only. I also occasionally use MK, when it is on sale. :)

High End: Lancome Hypnose. Lancome makes the best mascaras, period. Benefit's They're Real is another good high end option. However, I'm on a budget soo..

Low End: Maybelline's The Falsies mascara. Love it! I'm not a fan of the pink and green. It's alright, but nothing special IMO.

I do think it depends on your own lashes/eyes and taste though. I have friends who love Cover Girl's Clump Crusher but it does nothing on my lashes.

My mom always used the pink/green mascara. I bounce around between a few different brands. I haven't found one I like 100% so I'll be keeping this thread close by to try some of these.

I currently use Voluminous Butterfly from Loreal. I got it on a whim and I do love the LOOK of the mascara. I can really see a difference from my old (cheapest I could grab) version. However, it is not the slightest bit waterproof and since I have a funky issue where my eyes water violently every time I yawn, I have raccoon eyes by the end of the day. So, I'll be on the hunt once this is all gone (I'm kind of cheap like that :p).

I use Lush mascara. For stage or costume looks, I use one by Buxom with a twisty wand that let's you make your lashes long, fat, or both. I'd use it more regularly but I don't like having to use heavy makeup remover everyday, and I like how healthy Lush makes my lashes.

I am incredibly allergic to most mascaras, but I wandered into Lush last month and came out with their mascara... I LOVE it!

(but I was saying to my mom last week... it may be like someone who can't have gluten raving about their gluten free whatever... it's amazing for them, but only because it's all they can have? Because I reccomended it to my MIL and she HATED it!)

My favorite is Buxom Lash. Does a very nice job of thickening/lengthening/separating. Never clumpy. I get perfectly fanned out, feathery lashes every time. I've been using it for years.
