Has anyone taken the Marketing Texes exam? What materials did you use to study? What can I expect this test to be like? I have taken a few practice tests and have done fairly well on those, but would like to refresh myself on some of the topics.

Use the online materials as a springboard, then: use Google (or my favorite, Answers.com) to look up the topics in which you want refreshers.

Thanks for your help. Yes, please inform me about the test- I have no idea what score is passing, how many questions are on the exam, etc. I have already been hired to teach Marketing for the 2009-2010 school year and have all of my text books. I was planning on using them to study. How long did you prepare for it? Is it mostly common sense? I over studied for the 4-8 Generalist and passed with record numbers and understudied for the FCS exam and barely passed. Thanks again for your help!

The passing scaled score on any TExES exam is, I believe, 240 - that information, along with the test format, will be given in the documents that describe the test - with TExES, I think that tends to be the material that precedes the practice questions, though information is also tucked in other places on the TExES Web site.

Blaster, I know you'd like to help. Could I trouble you to send kmg09 a private message with your contact information? That way it's not out on the Internet for any spambot to collect.

(It's precisely for that reason that forum policy is against posting personal, traceable contact information.)
