Mail box cubbies are so expensive. Any ideas for less expensive yet functional and sturdy mailboxes?
    Thanks!

Try a surplus business store and thrift stores. Several teachers got them there in my building.

Try Amazon. I bought a 15-slot cardboard construction paper organizer for I think $12. Yes, it's cardboard, but unless you sit on it I think it's strong enough for mailboxes.

I hung a shoe pocket with 20 pockets on my closet door. I attached it with command hooks. Each pocket has a number written on it to correspond to the student's number. Each morning kids put their homework papers in. Works great for me.

I love my mail box cubbies. I couldn't imagine not having them. I think it costed me $20 at Office Max or some store like that. I have had them for 8 years, and I feel for $20 it has been a bargain.

Lakeshore sells a hanging one, sort of like a big pocket chart that I think is $20 or $30 a lot of teachers in my school use it.

Thanks, everyone! I found a hanging one, like Iteachbx described at Walmart on sale for $9.00.
