Okay, so I sent my cover letter to a place. I checked it over and over, but today after realizing it. I made a stupid mistake. I typed the wrong superintendent's name:( What do i do? do I email him one. Do I just let it go. do I even bother since I probably won't get an interview now anyway?

I think you should send the superintentent a letter with an explanation and an apology. Some people will look at how you handle a mistake more than the mistake itself.
Only the superintendent that you sent it to can answer the question "Am I doomed?" Sending a letter is the right thing to do even it doesn't open a closed door. Which it may or may not do.

I put the wrong school's name once and still got an interview. It was very close though, something like the school was Henry and I put Henry Clay.
