In trying to satisfy the need to challenge the better students I have decided to give each of my classes a famous phrase to memorize. I can make some up for grade 3, the youngest, but it would be more meaningful if I could say, for example, that this was said by Benjamin Franklin, or Confucius, etc Can anyone think of some short phrases, no more than 4 to 5 words, that were spoken by a famous person? Google is no help here for the word limit.
Lost time is never found again. - Benjamin Franklin Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new. - Albert Einstein An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. - Gandhi There's plenty more quotes here but you'll be pretty limited by the 4-5 word limit. Can you expand the word limit at all? That Benjamin Franklin one was the smallest I could find and it's still 6 words. There's more here too: http://quotes4all.net
