I'm on the hunt for a reading program to help a group of children with little to no reading skills. I'm using my supply money so I don't want a major textbook program. Maybe someone knows of a good program on the internet, or a small, even obscure program that may work? I can print whatever materials it may need.

Have you looked on reading a-z? They have many leveled readers, lessons, worksheets, etc. Check it out!

Free Reading Program on the Web

You might wish to try the free "Letter Sounds" and "Bridge to Reading" programs on the web--they go from constructing the letters of the alphabet to the sounds represented by the letters to reading an animated fairy tale story that teaches 100 of the Dolch words.

Kids love it and get very excited using it. While it isn't a complete reading program, and it gets students to the point of reading early books.
