Hey everyone, this is a long shot here.

Last summer someone posted an amazing picture of a classroom. The rug was in the middle and the whole room was done in pastel colors. I am taking some inspiration from that photo this year but can't find it anywhere. If anyone knows what I am talking about can you post a link to it? :thanks:

I think I remember that room too. Wasn't everyone referring it to the Martha Stewart room??

There was another room, too, with a high ceiling that had natural light coming through. It was decorated in light, calm colors, also. Was the posted room the one you were referring to?

I remember that room -- it was so calming. Too bad it would be trampled to bits by my fourth-graders!

That room is awesome. I wonder if she painted the room herself? Our school would never let us paint ourselves. All the rooms are just painted white. It would be nice to have calming walls like that.

I remember the room that was linked above. I get all googly-eyed looking it at...I may even drool a little! :haha: It makes me want to work with young ones again.

I love that room! I wish we could paint ourselves. Even if they paint our rooms, they do a poor job.

It would be fabulous to have the little round tables, too. It seemed to save a lot of space in her classroom.

Wow-I am awestruck. If I had that room, I might never go home. It DOES look like a Martha Stewart room.

I don't have nice furniture like that. It is old and public schoolish. I have a little tent but no room to put it up right now. Small tables would be useful. I have no idea how I am going to fit 20 desks in my room this year!

That is truly depressing. What a beautiful room. It would be nice to have the space for those little touches.

But I wonder if it stayed that beautiful once the school year got going. You know how your house can be neat and perfect and then the party starts? Actually, my friend has a home where everything is always in place. But it doesn't look like anyone lives there.
    Just me being bitter. :)

It looks like her kids did all kinds of spectacular hands-on projects, though! I am impressed. :)

Wow! Maybe my kids are not wild, maybe it is all the primary colors that I had everything painted! I love bright colors, esp. since we have a lot of darkness here. But that room is outstanding. sigh.

My room is full of odds and ends of things I have been given or collected. I do have lovely painted walls - we have a maintenance/handyman who will do anything for us. I always leave colors of paint up to him, and he uses what is on hand in all the rooms. However, he makes each room look different. Paints the trim and everything. What a doll he is.

But that room is so awesome. I am really going to try to get my room in good running order this year. I was injured just before setting up my classroom last year and never did get it in good order. bleh.

My favorite part of this room is the rug!

I don't see any of the kids' work in the pictures. It looks like school hasn't started yet, everything is so perfect. Flowers in vases and all....pretty!
