What are some sources that you use other than your textbooks? Do you have any good websites? I am looking over the Common Core standards we now have in place and doing some rethinking about how I teach Social Studies.
Teacherspayteachers dot com is awesome!! I'd rather pay a teacher for something that I can use than some corporation. This website also has tons of free stuff, things in the $1-3 dollar range, and their most comprehensive things are still around $10 or so (those are things with hundreds of powerpoint slides, etc, things that would take you weeks to make) I've used them before, I just downloaded a free powerpoint for a science lesson. I'm subbing, but still wanted to make the material more interesting than reading from the textbook. I'll have to fill in some info and delete some slides, but you can't beat that for free!
Thank you so much, we switched to using the Common Core so half of what I used last year is not what we are covering this year.
