Do any of you have lofts in your classrooms, and if so how did you go about purchasing them. I would love to have a loft in my classroom but they are so expensive.

The class that I student taught in had one. She made hers. It was very neat and the kids LOVED it.

There's one in the classroom where I do Book Buddies, but I don't know whether hers was made or purchased. It has a whole underneath part where the books are stored and the loft part that is accessed by a ladder. It looks great! The kids really seem to enjoy it.

I would find someone handy and ask them to make you one. It's a LOT less expensive to make one. They are great though. I don't have one, but always wished I did.

Our coordinators bought us one when we were in a smaller center... it was great there, but we moved to a different building and it just isn't working... and it's shaped so the kids just want to run through... ugh. I just wish they'd gotten one that wasn't a big, long tunnel.
