    We loved "Jersey Boys" also!

My best gift was both daughters home for almost a week, and everyone healthy and happy; we made a lot of toasts to each other on Christmas Eve when it was just the four of us!

My sister doesn't come home until the 30th, so Christmas is delayed this year. So far I've enjoyed far too much baking and lots of sweet cuddles and kisses with my niece and nephew. The presents are definitely taking a back seat this year and it's been really good.

We're not done celebrating but so far it's been money, Halloween snow village things, ornaments, and some other small things. I got a Christmas snow village piece in BF's family's gift exchange.

Glad you are having a great time with your kids. Tell Lauren to be careful going back to college.

    From the hubster:
    Nook Samsung Galaxy Tab
Lotion set from Bath and Body Works
From my aunt (surrogate mom since my folks passed away)
    Coach clutch
    Very Bradley tote
    Sterling silver Mom bracelet
    Liz Claiborne vest and shawl

The most exciting for us was watching our 3 year old open his gifts though! We got him a Thomas the Train railway set, some Thomas trains, an Imaginarium train table, books, hot wheels and a Leap Pad 3. We're definitely scaling down next year though. Little guy was so excited about his Thomas stuff that he didn't pay attention to anything else, lol.

I am not listing every gift and gift card I got, just the ones that excite me the most.

    Cricut Explore
Ken Burns's The Civil War documentary CD set
    some cash for needed items
a new shirt and scarf perfect for Christmas and New Years

One of my students of poverty gave me a gift card to Walmart. I'm tempted to use it on gloves and hats for the clothing drive at school.

I mostly got stuff for my kitchen - mixing bowls, Tupperware, a toaster. I also got a gift card for Pier 1 - it's my favourite home store!

I would make sure you got something for yourself with the gift card. S/he gave it to you for a present for you. If you would like to take some of your own money and donate something to the clothing drive, that would be nice, but I would see the sacrifice the child's family made a slap in the face if you turned around and donated the money. Apparently, they wanted to do something nice for YOU.

$5 Starbucks, candy, $10 dollar store, $50 restraunt card, a few cards, a mug, decorative spoons, $70 barnes and nobel, a blanket, and lotion. But most importantly time with family and pure joy and excitement from my niece for every single gift she opened!
