Promethean ActivBoard with attached LCD projector
    DVD/VCR
Audio Enhancement System (4 speakers in the ceiling, connected to microphones or audio from my computer or DVD player)
    Laptop for me (possibly)
    Laptop cart for students (probably)
    Document camera/ELMO
    Digital camera
    6 digital audio recorders
4-8 desktop computers and laser printer for student use
Desktop computer and laser printer for me
    Various computer software

If I wanted an overhead projector and CD player, I could have one, but I don't have any use for either with all the other stuff I have in my room.

One thing I don't have is clickers/voters. Our school has a few sets, but they're almost always used by other teachers (so I have trouble checking them out).

Most of the technology I have comes from the magnet program at our school. They get a magnet grant of $300k per year which must be spent or else they lose it.

What technology do you have? Is there anything you don't have that you really want?

    What's a Mimio or DyKnow?

I'm starting at a fairly rural district in a 6-12 school, and sincerely wish I had an LCD projector in my room. I love using it for PowerPoint, videos, and so forth. But alas... I'm stuck with simply an overheard projector and a chalkboard.

A mimio is a tool that hangs on the white board that creates an interactive field, essentially turning your whiteboard into a smartboard. Dry erase markers could go inside tube tools, turning them into interactive markers, there was a mouse marker, too. I loved it.

DyKnow is software that will be on all staff and student laptops that allows all laptops to interact with each other. I don't quite understand all of its capabilities, yet. We just got it and it is super powerful. The teacher creates lessons in DyKnow panels and "sends" them to the student laptop (lecture outlines, worksheets, etc). Students can add content to the panels and send them back or share them. I can also monitor each student's screen. There are IM capabilities and polling capabilities. Basically, it is meant to turn all teaching/student actions into interactive actions.

The scary thing is: I'm a trainer on this DyKnow stuff ... but our training to be trainers was not very good ... it's going to be a crazy launch of the school year!

    WOW! That sounds awesome!

I wish we could give laptops to all our students.

    I will have:

    a ceiling mount projector
tv/vcr/dvd player (if it's the same as last year, the vcr won't rewind)
a new laptop for me (hopefully the wireless will work in my room)
    an Airliner
    an overhead projector

Yeah, one laptop per student is pretty nice. This is our first year with them. Even better, they are the tablet pcs so students can WRITE on them ... so cool!

So few of our students had computer access outside of school ... and the nearest library with computers is 15 miles away (my school is in an unincorporated town in a rural, poor county). There are only 4 HS schools in the district and 2 of us now have a 1:1 laptop situation.

    I have:
    LCD projector in the ceiling
    One computer, at my desk
    DVD/VCR (my personal property)
    TV
Elmo (shared with the department, but it lives in my room)
Wireless keyboard and airmouse (my personal property)
It's not a whole heck of a lot. It's ironic, because this is an area with multi-million-dollar homes, but we don't have a lot of the extras in the schools. With the way the CA budget mess is going, I'm just happy to have the job! ;)

    We're also all wireless

    Teacher laptop (tablets)
    Student laptop (tablets)
    LCD projector
    Smart board
    Document camera
    DVD players
    eInstruction (clicker/voter system)
podcasting equipment (just got it this summer--not sure what all that entails)
online class management system (LMS/Angel learning)

This will be our third year as a 1:1 campus!

Okay, I've been on the Mimio and Promethean websites, and I'm really jealous. :p

We have a small learning community within the school for information technology, and oh, how I want those kids, because their teachers get the tech goodies! Unfortunately, the woman who has the two senior classes and the sophomore class is unlikely to give them up anytime soon. :(

    -Laptops (1:1 Ration; Macbooks)
-Mimo (turns whiteboard into smart board)
    -Projector
    -VCR/DVD Combo
-Student Responders (the clickers) (E Instructor)
    -1 Laser Printer (color)
-Podcasting Equipment (Microphones and the software)
    -Digital Cameras (3)
    -Video Cameras (3)

I think I mite look into DyKnow, we do all of that now, but with many different programs.

Believe it or not I still take my own personal Macbook to school everyday

    Let's see..

PC Laptop and Macbook for me (we'll be giving up our pc laptop later this year..i think)
4 iMacs in my room (in a couple weeks! yay!)
    SmartBoard
    Projector for SB ceiling mounted
    printer (my own)
    DVD/VCR
This one contraption that I can't figure out to explain it but..I can get the radio on it, soon cable TV and I can put a music CD in my laptop and plug a cord from the machine into the microphone slot of my laptop and the music is heard from the two speakers in my ceiling..does that make sense?
    I think that's it..

I have 12 student desktops and a printer a few doors down that they can print to. I have a computer in my office and a computer in my classroom. We use it for attendance, grades, etc. I also have a LCD projector which I got through a grant several years ago and just love. I have most of my lessons on PPTs and it saves a lot of writing on the board. I also have a dvd/vcr and use lots of educational videos.
Our elementary has 1 computer for every 2 kids in the classroom. All the teachers have SMART boards and laptops. The science and math teachers in the middle school and high school have laptops for every students, SMART boards, and a teacher laptop.

Wow. I am very jealous of all of you. I have chalkboards, a computer for me that has not been working yet, an overhead projector, and an intercom. We may get internet access in another two weeks. Otherwise we can use a computer and printer in the teacher's work room. I am dreaming of getting a telephone, a whiteboard, and a screen for the overhead, so that I can join the 20th century sometime before the middle of the 21st.

Same here except somewhere along the way the cords to the smart board have been lost so it's a glorified projection screen.

I must admit I do also have a tv and dvd/vcr combo but I hardly, if ever, use it.

LOL, we have a telephone and a dusty over head projector which I had to beg for. My room is super old. I don't even have a computer. I have to do my grades the old fashion way. But you know what, I'm grateful that I have a job.

I have a wireless laptop, an overhead projector and a multimedia projector with speaker set, video/dvd player.. I use it to show powerpoints quite a bit..

the mmp is not my *assigned* one, as it can be checked out by other teachers that need it, but we have quite a few in the building, so mine is rarely checked out to someone else.

I am supposed to be getting a set of EEE this year, but the grant is delayed.. :(
