The "bad" thing is that it is only on my data plan... but it knocks it down from 60 to 50, which is nice.

I don't know if they have it on an ongoing basis, but yes, there was a teacher promo recently that has since expired now. I missed that deal. When I 1st saw the promo, it said good until 12/31. but then I was told you had to register it by a certain date, which I missed. That was misleading to me because I never saw anything about having to regiater & I'm mad I missed it because I was planning to go to Seaworld this summer. I'll still probably go though.

I did not know all those stores gave discounts! The only one I've ever heard of giving a teacher discount is barnes and noble, and I never buy books (too expensive) so I would never use it. I got everything for my classroom library from friends/family, yardsales, and cheaper stores.

Do you have to get a special card for all those stores or do you just tell them you're a teacher and show your school id?

waterfall, most stores have a special teacher promo card, which you can apply for or obtain the moment you're at the cash reigster buying something. Many stores have a section on their site for you to apply & then you eventually get a card in the mail.

As a rule of thumb, just keep your teacher ID or latest paystub in your purse & when you're about to buy, ask them if they give a discount & when they ask for you to show proof, your'e all set! :D

Ann Taylor doesn't to my knowledge - just loft.

The Container Store does BUT you have to print a card from their website.

Here teachers get into all the city subsidized museums free. (I like to go to the aquarium in the summer and just go to the parts I like :) - I feel the need to see the WHOLE thing if I pay 23 dollars!)
