Any suggestions on where I can get relatively inexpensive letter magnets? I plan to use them on student white boards so they do not need to be too big. I saw some at the dollar store but they only had uppercase.

Love my Lakeshore set! Get on their mailing list and get a coupon for 20% off, it helps. They are sorted and so easy to use. I second the above poster, worth every penny!

I have the Lakeshore letter kit. It's perfect! I also found lowercase letters in the target dollar spot this summer.

I have the same set that I got at a local teacher store and love them too. They are good quality. And, I too like that the vowels are a different color. I'm actually thinking about getting a second set.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, I've found that letter cards printed on cardstock work well for the same purpose.

Oh yeah, you can laminate them for extra durability & then add magnets to the back. That's a cheap option!
