Mine was given to me by MrsC because I was previously halfateacher (I only worked part time). Then I got another half time position, to make me full time, and I was tryin to figure out what I would change my name to. MrsC came up with monsieurteacher, since I would be teaching French. I haven't really been able to get out of teaching French since! Before halfateacher, I was using my first initial and last name followed by the number 2. I used the number two, because when I first signed up for a hotmail address, back in the mid 90's, I tried to use my first initial followed by my last name with no numbers, and it was already taken. So I added a random 2, and it stuck.
mine doesn't have a story - it just came to me during my effort to stop the blinking message telling me "name taken." I like my name and am glad it floated into my brain when it did. so, thank you to all the people who went with my first half million name choices!
Mine is the same as a pregnancy/parenting forum I belong to. Before we knew the gender of our baby, I was pulling for a girl. I wanted to name her Isabella, Bella for short, after my great-great-grandma who walked the Trail of Tears. I know everyone with Indian ancestory probably says they had a relative who walked it, but we have documents, lol. Anyway, I was pregnant in 2010, wanted to name our baby Bella, henceforth Bella2010. I decided to use that username her so that I wouldn't forget it, lol. Beth
Mine is my nickname at home. And for the newbies, it's pronounced "kay-BRUTE-tah," not "chay-brute-tah"
My screenname is the same one I created when I was in middle school for AIM ha It is my First initial, middle initial, first part of last name and my birthday (8/8). I use it for everything.
I've been very active online since 1997, and back then, we hesitated to put information "out there" that might identify us or give out our location. My house was the hangout house for my kids and their friends; there were at least 20 kids in the house on any given evening. I'd had most of them in middle school, but didn't feel the need for formality in my own home, and "Jane" seemed TOO familiar, so they started calling me Mamacita. Now I am Mamacita all over the 'net. It's pretty cool, except for when the pole dancers try to hijack my screen name, which they do at least twice a week. Hilarity ensures.
LOL yes, mine is a handle Ive used for years. My name is Ashley, so ASH-hole is a joke my friends and I used to have. Another one is how any time someone says "Actually" I think they're talking to me.
Originally I just used my first name followed by my favorite number, but decided to change it to just remain a little more anonymous. I'm not really sure why I picked Kangaroo22, except I liked that it rhymes....
Mine's pretty self explanatory. The ironic thing is, I don't even like it when kids ask if they can call me this because my name isn't complicated or lengthy. On here though, I don't care.
There are those here who have suggested that I play the ACCordian, but those are the first letters of my last name. And I thought that a simple "AA" would have implications I would rather avoid.
I was looking around the room when trying to think of a username. The first thing I spotted was a stuffed bison that BF got me as a souvenir from a trip he went on.
