Let's do this again! How did you pick your handle or screen name? Y'all know already why I use Rebel1, and I know about Ash's handle/screen name. (Smile Ashley!) I did this way back when I first joined and it was interesting to find out about why some of the posters picked the handles they have. I'd like to know about the newcomers' and to refresh our memories about the old timers' handles. Rebel1
Mine has two inspirations. First, my husband is in the military and I've always been really far from my family since I started teaching. I also really like the song Far From the Home I Love from the musical Fiddler on the Roof.
I made it cause one of my friends is an Air Force pilot and I call him Maverick. He calls me Goose. MissMav just sounded fun verses MissGoose
I tried lots of things which were taken, so I settled for JustMe. I didn't know I'd stick around so long...otherwise I migh have tried harder.
The day I made my account, I had just read a quote about... something... about having one berry... ok, it's pretty sad now, but I can't at all remember or find the quote!! Haha does anyone know it by any chance? It really struck me then!
i wish i was more creative with mine, but now i have with and don't wanna change in . nj (where i'm located) teach (duh lol) 41 (i met my husband april 1st)
Chemistry is my favorite subject to teach but I usually only get to teach it every other year or so and 5 was my baseball number.
Mine is my old family's dog name. Her name was just Lucy, but I called her Lucy-belle for whatever reason.
I wish I'd thought harder on mine. My cousin uses this name as well. Back in the 90s when we were all getting home PCs and sitting up family chat time my cousin combined all our names and came up with donziejo. Then we used individual numbers after the name. My cousin and I are the only family members left that use this name.
I choose mine from the last name of an instructor that was extemely tough yet equally fair. Made sure that students learned everything they needed to know to survive in the environment in which they were operating. I learned a lot from Ross and still think of some of the lessons today.
I feel that mine is pretty self explanatory as well  I'm a Spanish teacher whose last name starts with an M I decided to go with something more teacher-y on this site. On most other forums, I use the name OriginOfAbsolution, which is a combination of the titles of my two favorite albums by my favorite band (Muse! <3)
I don't think mine needs an explanation. It's actually rather boring. I remember trying lots when I signed up. This was the first one I tried that wasn't taken.
I had quite the truancy problem during my own schooling that I corrected through college and thus far through teaching.
:lol: I would love to be a Georgia peach! I think that would make an interesting thread though. Because there are some that I think of other things too. Caesar always gets me!
At the time I joined, I was in my early/mid-twenties. I didn't think I'd stick around for long, so I picked the name YoungTeacherGuy.
 Love me some Journey! Yay!! Another Muse fan! I love them!! Ah! You'll always be young at heart!
OMG a fellow Muser! Yay! Let's be best friends  (Seriously, they're so amazing. I get very excited when I meet others who recognize epicly awesome music when they hear it ) Okay, I'll stop being totally off-topic now
I don't meet too many people who love them as much as I do! My hubs introduced me to them because he loved the song Hysteria. Then I just took off with their music. Have you heard their new song, Madness?
When I taught high school, a student brought around a paper copy of the absentee list every day. Just for fun, they'd have random funny names on the list. I remember Class, Skipper and Student, Ima. When I started joining online forums, I became Ima Teacher. I've been using the same username since the mid 90's.
Oh yeah? How come? I chose Caesar because I'm a Latin teacher. The number 753 is my favorite number because it's the year when Rome was founded. Caesar753 hasn't always been my name here. For a few years I went by my first name. I thought changing it to Caesar might help make me a tiny bit more anonymous. :haha:
It's the gender that gets me! Then I read HG so now I always think of Flickerman and also Shakespeare's play.
