I noticed that too. I only check in once in a while to see if anyone posted anything. I more frequently visit education groups on Facebook now.
Good question. It was never quite as busy as some forums, but it’s like it just stopped dead in its tracks.
A lot of the old crew is MIA. Many of the noobs are trying to sell something or are just trying to use us for homework purposes. Even our favorite pot-stirrers have been quiet.
About a month ago I received warning site was not secure. When I tried to log on Chrome kicked me out. Message read I needed to contact site owner to change protocol from http to https. I got around it today by "continue to site anyway" message.
Quite a few of the old timers left education, retired, or moved to admin or another position that has them out of the classroom. I kept track of several over the years through FB or another teacher website.
It’s definitely not over. It’s just not the crisis that it was at first. We had a big outbreak ere right about the time school began. I had worked at the high school the first week of the year, and some of the kids had missed their first couple of days of school due to being sick.
