leaving Tues. for laguna beach with hubby and 2 sons (7 and 11). Doing Disney, Dodger game, Universal Studios was wondering if anyone had any suggestion of things to do there? Thanks!
If you're looking for another theme park, Knott's Berry Farm is fun. Right by that is the Medieval Times restaurant - very cool.
Stick around and go further to Universal City Walk, very cool mall with stuff you all will enjoy. L.A. Zoo Hollywood Walk of Fame, Mann's theater Aquarium at the Pacific - Long Beach Santa Monica Beach - muscle beach/volleyball/surfers...carnival rides, crazy street vendors...typical so. cal stuff! It has been extremely hot. Bring sunscreen, hats, and be prepared!
ps show your AAA card and save! Great discounts for auto club members. Check with your union too. May have even better discount cards than AAA!
Griffith Park Observatory's reopened now - should be very hospitable to your boys. If you're willing to venture a little farther south, they might enjoy Legoland.
True. Though for those of us who live south of SR 91, "the zoo" means the San Diego Zoo or the Wild Animal Park - which, come to think of it, would also be fine (if hot) destinations.
Oooh I agree, I LOVE the San Diego Zoo...we've had a year pass for the past two years! Around Knott's Berry Farm there is a whole bunch of touristy stuff to see--Medieval Times, Ripleys, Wax Museum...but to tell you the truth I'd only go to Medieval Times...and it could be a little pricey. When you go to Disney make sure to stop at Downtown Disney, the shops there are cool. I'd suggest stopping at Marceline's Confectionary...they have really good caramel apples! If you go into LA...and you're into museums I would go to the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art)...or perhaps just the La Brea tar pits which is right next door. They are both musuems...but the tar pits (where you see dinosaurs stuck in actual tar...cool for the kids!) may be more kid oriented. If you go there, there is a GREAT pizza place right across the street called Johnnie's New York Pizza...MMmmmm!
Visit the Web site of the George C. Page Museum (the tar pits museum, and it's outstanding) to see whether excavation is in progress now. http://www.tarpits.org
Oh no, did she already leave? I think we might be too late in our suggestions! At least I was! Whooops! hehe.
