I have an interview tomorrow for and AM Kindergarten position! Does anyone have advice/suggestions? I have been reviewing how I will answer the questions. I am a fairly new teacher; I taught in a leave-replacement position in first-grade part of last year. Thanks in advance for any ideas! :)

I wish you luck! I would be prepared for questions involving classroom management, how you differeniate instruction.

Good luck! They might ask you "How do you teach a child to read?" At a meeting with an HR person from a local school disctict we were told they ask that question for all grade level positions. Definitely be prepared to talk about differentiation and classroom management. Also make sure you have something to ask at the end of the interview when they ask you if you have any questions for them.

Thank you so much for everyone's good thoughts! It went ok! I feel like I should have had more examples for the questions though :( I have a feeling that I didn't get it, but should find out more tomorrow! In the meantime I got a call about being considered for ANOTHER Kinder job, but this one would be full-time and at a closer school! It's funny how things work out :)

When is your interview for the full day kinder? There have been times when I thought I didn't get the job and turns out I did. There have been times when I've left the interview feeling great, thinking I got it just to be turned down. You just never know! Good luck!

It wouldn't be for a couple of weeks, they just posted the position. I don't think that I got the half-day. However, the same day I had an office interview and I was offered that position! I feel like I should take it because it is full-time, starts immediately and has great benefits. I don't know what to do! I am worried that if I leave education I will be making the wrong choice, however, I don't seem to be finding anything right now and I wonder if trying something different might be good for me. I'm still not sure if teaching is for me! Any ideas as to how to make this decision?:help::thanks:
