Does any one have a new year/ new to grade level to-do list that you use each year or have used before? There is so much to do that I can't seem to wrap my mind around all of it! Thanks!

    My list includes:

    supply list (any changes?)
Welcome letter, updates? I have to put in my Specials Schedule
    Organize new supplies
Locker/seat name tags (I do these on index cards until my class list is settled)
    Clean
    bulletin boards
    room arrangement

I'm sure there's more on my list, but this is just what I've come up with off the top of my head.

    Ditto the above...

Think of photocopying you need done. Including "extra" things like coloring sheets for quick finishers, or that go with topics you are teaching.

Plan out in writing (ok, I use the computer) at least the first four weeks' daily plans. As you do so, list items you will need to buy, find, or make.

Plan out introductory activities (a la First Six Weeks of School).

Make new chart cards for attendance, centers, work stations, or whatever you need.

Start the year well ahead of the game!! That will take so much stress off.

And plan what you will do after school for a five-minute pick-me-up break (a hot or cold drink, put on some music, change into slippers...).
