I cannot believe that this day has finally arrived. I am hoping the judge will sign off on my divorce. I got notice a month ago that a hearing had been scheduled because the judge wanted to know why the almost ex is in jail. I really do not forsee things going badly. The almost ex is in jail for crimes against children. But want some good vibes coming my way just to make sure.

I use the date of my divorce finalization as one of my most often used passwords. It continually reminds me that I have a second chance at life-and to live it to the fullest!

That's how I think of my mastectomy date.

It's also the reason I won't fix the 2 dings (well, one ding, one dent) in my car I got from driving while upset about the whole breast cancer thing. (Both times I hit an unmoving object-- one concrete column, the other a parked car. They're my only 2 dents in 34 years of driving.) I think of them as badges of honor--reminders to myself that I got through this, and that I'm tougher than I sometimes think.

    Here's to new beginnings!!
