Jon & Kate Plus Eight / Kate Plus Eight: done!

I know most of us agree that the damage has been done. I just hope the children, especially the older girls, are able to live beyond the show and everything that was attached to it. It will, though, no doubt leave a lasting impression.

My wife and I managed to survive without ever seeing a single episode of Jon & Kate...

Let's hope Jon and Kate aren't replaced by the Balloon Boy and his family... :p:p

    Seriously? For sure?

I am confident I will not take part in that show. As I've said before, all I will see is what Joel covers on The Soup. :)

I was hoping for two new shows:

    1. Jon runs off with Balloon Boy's mom.... and they make a concerted effort for custody of the eight kids.
    2. And Kate vows to marry Balloon Boy when he turns 18 (after he's successfully confirmed the existence of flying saucers..)

    :lol::lol::lol:

Actually Octomom said today that she has a crush on Jon and thinks he's hot. In the words of Perez Hilton... Jon & Nayda plus 22 anyone??

Give me an old Cowboys and Indian movie and I am happy. We actually rented one last night. Boy have times changed. It was The Missing directed by Ron Howard. I am tired of reality shows and need some pure fiction.

Okay, so I am definitely in the minority, and no I am not saying this to start a fight, but I am kind of sad to see the show go off. I loved watching the kids grow up. Can't we have a show without Jon and Kate but with the kids? :)

Oh, I love those children. They brought happiness to my life, as silly as that may sound. But it all just got too messy. :(

KLSSwimmer - I liked the show in its begining years. Those kids do appear happy (much more than the one show Sulman did with her kiddos)

I think the show is now a bit uncomfortable for a lot of happy nuclear families who do not know the challenges and issues divorce and single parenting brings. Families who have gone through the who ugly situation seem to feel some sort of validation of trying to come out of a situation with your head held up.

As these kids get older, I am sorry they may have to deal with their parent's public behavior.

I am glad its off because they put the kids through too much unnecessary stress and public life.

I truly wonder how those kids will do WITHOUT the spotlight in their eyes EVERYDAY.

I'll be there will be years of therapy in their futures... Confusion, resentments, unfulfillment.

Good, this madness is over. Let them both go out & get regular jobs like the rest of us & they need to be blackballed against doing any more shows, writing books, making public appearances, etc. Whoops! Now what are they going to do?
