Is anyone else out there using this website yet? It lets you make quizzes for you students and then its played like those trivia games in pubs. The faster you get it right the more points you get. My kids are loving it! No one complains when it is time for review. It also gives you a report of questions that students got right or wrong, making it a quick formative assessment. Kahoot.
Question for you guys who use it, do each student need to use an electronic device to play or can you do it whole class through a projector?
I project the questions and they have to use their phones/iTouch to respond. I don't really know what the advantage would be for doing it as a whole class. You could just simply project your questions instead. Not all of my students have phones. And of those that do, not all of them have service/good WIFI connection in my room. But at least 25% do. So I put the kids in groups of 3/4 and have them answer as teams.
YES! My students BEG for it every week! I especially like to do it with math problems and it's nice that I can add videos to it as well!
Our IT person is giving a training on this on Thursday.....I am signing up seems like a great tool to have.
I actually like Geddit better. Geddit has them rate their confidence level. Geddit is new- like a couple of months. (Kahoot is new-ish. I'm not sure when it launched, but I used it last school year.)
When i clicked the link my school "blocked it" but when i google it, i can get to the website...so those of you whose schools "blocked the site" try googling first!
