Do any of your schools have a K-Kids club and do you like it?

I am thinking of starting one at my new school. The principal likes the idea.

I already have the support of my local Kiwanis club, who will sponsor my club. Tonight I am going to a Kiwanis meeting to find out more about it...

Just wondered if anyone else's school already had one and what you thought!

    Thanks

My school does have K Kids. I am not involved because it is with older grades, but it is a big success!! Our guidance counselors work with K Kids. Good Luck!!!

Yes, we have one, but I do not run it. It is grades 3-5 at our school, and I believe this coming year, I have four students who are members. :) They help out a lot with the community! Our newspaper staff (which I do run) needs to interview them this year.

Oh good I am glad to see there are a few out there.

Our whole entire (tiny) state doesn't have any K-Kids so mine would be the first one, which is exciting!

I went to the Kiwanis meeting tonight. Even though I felt very out of place among all the pop pops (who all wanted me to sit next to them), I am glad I went because they were so nice and passed the motion to sponsor a club for me. Yay!

Now I hope my principal really is into it. She should be because her school would be the first in the state to have one, which would be really good publicity!

    k-Kids

The 6th grade students at my school, and one teacher rep run the K-Kids at my school. It has made our students very socially responsible, and has helped them develop their leadership skills. I really recomend it! :)
