What is K-5 combination? I'm applying for several counties and this is a new term for me. I'm guessing that this is just a term for general education K-5. Would I be correct in thinking that? Thanks for any info!

My sense is that they are looking for a candidate who can teach any of those grade levels and that they can't guarantee what level the openings(s) will be at.

It could be that there will be a job somewhere in the K-5 school. But it could also be a position where you will teach multiple grades (maybe even at the same time). Many times this is common in special education.

Thanks ya'll! In the list of available positions, it lists all the different titles in the county, but there wasn't anything that said general education or elementary. It just said K-5 combination, 6-8 combination, 9-12 combination, and K-12 combination. I was thinking that the combination just meant that it was those grade levels.

    Maybe it means a split?
