Yay! Just got home from purchasing a new truck! It is so awesome. Ford F-150, 4x4, supercab. It was dark by the time we got home, so I can't take a picture until tomorrow. Almost all the 2009 Fords have Sync ... the salesman took my cellphone, pushed a few buttons on the truck dashboard, I can now push a button on my steering wheel to call any contact ... I hear them through the speakers, I can talk completely hands free. Very cool. I guess it is kinda like some of the OnStar options but it isn't a subscription service.
Just like ku to buy a techie car congrats, we have had two F150's before and drove them to the ground. They are great trucks

We looked for a long time. A lot of dealership websites have the window sticker (MSRP) for each truck in their inventory. You can take that info, go to edmunds.com and build that truck to get the invoice price. That was great info to have when it came deal time. I don't like the looks of the 2009 GMC and Chevy. We drove an F150 STX and didn't like it. Then, we drove an F150 XLT and new it was the truck for us before we even got out of the dealership parking lot. I had a 2006 Toyota Tundra and LOVED it (the Ford we ended up with is very similar but the Ford has a much nicer interior). My husband's dad has a 2008 Dodge and loves it. And, MotorTrend says that Dodge has the best ride. There are some good trucks out there, Dodge has some great prices. We went with Ford because of the quality, reputation and price (the new Tundras are a fortune!)

Love it! I have a 2001 Ford F-150 Supercab and it is great. So far only regular maintenance items. Have fun and enjoy that NEW car smell!!
Yours is like my neighbors. Did you get the back-up camera? My dad's old F-150 was an XLT. He couldn't find one when he was looking for his new one, but they an STX that he liked. That's the one that I have now. I haven't used my phone with Sync yet. I rarely even use my phone anyway, but it's a cool feature. My neighbor uses his all the time. I need to set mine up. Drive carefully! I'd driven a turbo sports car for 13 years, and I got my first speeding ticket the first month with my truck! Have fun with your new truck!
