What was your favorite school supply to buy as a kid?

I loved, loved, loved getting new school clothes. My mom would take us shopping and I would come home and model all my new clothes for my dad ( who was probably the least bit interested). then I wouldhng them all in the closet. I would've so excited.

I also loved (and still do) buying writing utensils. Colored pens, crayons etc. then when we would get home I would organize all my supplies and pack my book bag. School supply section is still my most favorite section in any store. :woot:

We were never able to have Trapper Keepers as kids. It was always on our list in big capital letters: "NO TRAPPER KEEPERS!"
I loved picking out my folders because that's where we got to splurge and not just buy the cheapest ones. :)

Oh, I also loved buying school clothes because my mom would take us each individually. :)

Oh yes clothes. I remember always getting jeans and more fall appropriate clothes like sweaters, and then I would insist on wearing them on the first day of school and sweat all day. lol.

I still buy a "back to school outfit" every year, although with all the clothes I bought this summer, I think I have enough! lol.

Silverspoon65 - I always did that too!! Stores always stocked fall items for back to school and then it was still 90 when we went back.

I always loved getting a new backpack/lunchbox when I was younger. As I got into high school, I liked getting my cute spirals and notebooks all sorted and ready. (No trapper keepers for us either!)

Now that I'm a teacher I live for new pens and highlighters, lol!

My back pack - I never had to have a hand-me-down back pack. Everything else was hand me downs.

In all honesty though, I love ALL the supplies!

I loved getting a new backpack and lunch box! I remember in 1st grade I had a Little Mermaid plastic lunchbox, and so did two other girls in my class. My mom put my name on the inside of mine with stickers so I'd know which one was mine. I loved those Lisa Frank binders too!

I remember in the lower grades my teachers graded with china markers...I used to always make my mom try to find them for me. All of the other kids were jealous.

I always hated getting new shoes as they were uncomfortable, but now of course, I love it!

I have always loved ALL school supplies! I still get excited over office supplies. I still buy myself a big box of Crayloa crayons every year. I use them myself, and the kids laugh at me for having my own box and not letting them use them. At the end of the school year I put my old box of crayons with the ones the kids use.

I love school supplies. Not sure if I remember a favorite. I thought Trapper Keepers were cool, loved crayons (the 64 count was best), had personalized pencils one year.

I still love them! I recently bought the 150 count Crayola crayons just because I wanted to see what 150 different colors looked like! Haven't used them yet LOL

I'll have to copy what others said. A Trapper Keeper. Loved those things!

My birthday is in September. This is back when school actually started around here after Labor Day. So most of my birthday presents were always back to school things.

    Probably folders.

Once I was older and saved my own money, I would buy a Mead 5-Star binder. My mom always said they were too expensive.

Oh- once I was in high school pink, purple, and turquoise pens were my must have! Clicky ones.

Hi, my name is Giraffe326 and I am a pen clicker. (And a pen addict in general.) I am the person you want to slap, but I don't usually realize that I am doing it :sorry:
