Political Science was my major, History and Secondary Education were my minors.

Certified to teach all core subjects in middle school, History, Geography, Government, Earth Science, Psychology, and Personal Finance. I've tried for certification in Economics, but I've missed passing the Praxis twice by just a bit, after two tries, I give up there, I have plenty of certifications otherwise.

    Undergrad in History Education.
Working on Masters in Instructional Technology(also will get a gifted certificate out of it).

    Certified in:
    History(US/World) 6-12

Once I start teaching I plan to get certified in Government and Psychology. Just don't have the cash to pay $400 for tests right now. :( Luckily I'm only teaching US and World history this semester so I will have time to study for them.

    BA English
    Certified to teach Elementary K-5
Working on getting endorsed to teach Middle School Language Arts 5-8

I really wish I could get endorsed in MS math! I really enjoy teaching math to the little ones but I'm horrible at math. I was helping a middle schooler with her math homework last night and she understood it better than me (but she didn't get it either!). Even 4th-5th grade math is like a foreign language to me!

BA in Liberal Studies - CA doesn't have an Elementary Ed major, so this is the most common for prospective elementary teachers. My BA did not certify me to teach.

Multiple Subject Credential - certified to teach K-8 multiple subjects (meaning elementary or middle school "core" classes - math/science, ELA/history, etc)

    MS in Education

My degree was Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in English. I can teach 1-8 self-contained or any core subject. I can also teach high school English since I passed the subject and secondary tests, but I took those tests to make my mom happy. I never, ever want to teach high school! I've taken the ESL test as well.
