I have been watching The Daily Show for about 15 years, almost the whole time Jon Stewart has been the host. TDS is the only "news" program I can trust. It has been one of my favorite shows for over a decade and I'm going to miss Jon Stewart. I hope Trevor Noah will find his feet quickly and keep up the legacy!

I almost always watch the show the day after on hulu, but tonight I'll be tuning in live at 11pm. Anyone else??

(Is it sad that I'm already getting misty just thinking about it? I also cried during the final episode of Colbert which I watched from Day One... )

John Oliver has a youtube channel of clips from his HBO show.

I have dreaded this day all summer. Seriously. This one ending is hitting me hard! I hope Trevor Noah makes the show his own, and doesn't try to be JS part II.

Jon's drop the mic farewell to Fox the other night was the best television I've seen in a long time!

I love TDS. Colbert was my favorite though and I'm still not over the loss of that one! I was so upset when I heard JS was leaving too.

I won't be able to watch it live- it comes on at 9:00 here and I will be at a friend's house watching the GOP debate for laughs/entertainment, lol. I just got really sad thinking about how there will be no recap of the debate on TDS :(.

I know!!! I want him to stay one more week so he can cover the debate. Now how will I know where all the funny parts were? :(

I want him to stay through the election. But then it would be the next election, and so on, and so on, and so on. JS forever!!

And I get a lot of great book recommendations from Jon's guest authors. Miss him and Colbert!

If only. I love The Daily Show. I loved The Colbert Report. What am I going to watch before I go to bed now?

I'm watching the final episode online now. If he helped pick Trevor as the new host, I will trust Jon's judgement. I have a feeling we're going to see a lot more from Jon as a director and MAYBE even a little stand-up (I've loved his comedy for decades).

When Colbert broke character to thank Jon, I may have teared up. Plus, I loved all the politicians and news anchors telling Jon they'd "miss" him.

My favorite moment was at the very end, when I realized Jon was dancing with his wife and children. I'm sure they're about as happy as can be that they get him full time for the first time, at least until his next project.

I just finished watching it...I was holding off because I didn't want to admit it was over! I hope Trevor does a good job. I will watch when he starts but I'm a bit skeptical given the things I've read.

I'm afraid Trevor is going to too much like the guy on the Nightly Show...he kind of acts like he wants to be Jon too.

I have faith in Trevor. I was real skeptical at first because I had only seen him on TDS once and he wasn't funny at all. Then I looked up his stand up and it's pretty good. I think it's fun to have a "foreign" view on what happens in the USA, like what John Oliver does. I also have faith that Jon Stewart knew what he was doing when he picked Trevor Noah.

I think Larry Wilmore (The Nightly Show), is still finding his feet. I remember it took Colbert about a year to really find his groove (in my opinion). I think he does a pretty good job, but I'm sure he'll improve over the next six months or so.

I have hopes that Larry Wilmore will improve; his show seems a little over-fixated on race still.

I was really uncertain about John Oliver, but his show has turned out excellent -- funny and with some superb social commentary. He did a piece on FIFA's corruption, and less than a year later their executives are being hauled into court. Overall, he's much less focused on day-to-day politics (he almost completely ignored the Republican debates, saying they didn't matter in the long haul) and prefers to deal with issues.

Trevor Noah might be shaky at first, but it's good to remember TDS is an entire team. I'll reserve judgement for the first year (I don't usually watch every night, so on-and-off for a year won't be burdensome).
