After teaching in my own classroom for 8 years, I will be going into a job sharing position this coming school year. (I will be having a baby and want to go part-time for awhile).

    Anyone been there/done that?

I did it for two years + (and then had a second child and took about a year off). How will you be sharing? I worked afternoons...

I've job shared for 5 years. I have a 1st grade/Reading Recovery split. What exactly do you want to know? that would help me answer any questions you may have. Or PM me and I can answer your questions privately.

Be open and respectful of the other teacher's ideas, decided who is going to be responsible for what, decide how you are going to communicate with the your partnet teacher (phone, email, notes).

I student taught under the wing(s) of a job sharing team. They had been together for 7 years... and each had job-shared in the past with other partners.
