    Hi all!

I had a second round interview with the principal and superintendent of a small school district on Monday. I was told that I would hear back from them by the end of this week (it is now Wednesday), about whether or not they would be offering me the position. The principal seemed to really like me after the first interview, and requested that I take off of work for the second interview because he really wanted me to move forward.

I have not heard back yet (still trying to wait patiently), but I saw today that the job posting has been taken down. Do you think this means they offered the position to someone else? Would they remove the posting before offering the position to someone?

I was feeling really confident about the interviews and about landing this job before today! Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

They've decided on someone. You could call and inquire about their decision.

It is quite possible they've found someone, but I know that here they take down the job postings once the application period has passed...

This forum usually doesn't have job listings unless an individual teacher has a lead. I would suggest checking Google or the search engine of your choice to look for Jamaica teaching jobs.

Thank you all for your feedback!

The job posting is back up today (saying it was posted the first day I applied). We will see if I get an offer or not!

It's a weird thing around me. When I got my job, the posting stayed up until I finished my first week there. In the district that I would kill to get into (and may have to), they have filled positions and left the ad up...at the same time, they have pulled positions off job boards that were not filled.

I appreciate you. Actually everyone don't like the same place. Different people different choices.

Thank you for the input! I am wondering if maybe time just ran out and they decided to repost it. Or they were not confident with offering the position to anyone they interviewed and decided to start the search again.

Sometimes it is all about vacations in the summer and different HR people doing the posting. A school around me has postings on their website from two years ago. Apparently someone there believes in "Hotel California" - postings can be entered, but they can never leave!

That is so crazy!! If it were me, I would be getting annoyed with the constant applications for jobs that are no longer available! ;)
