Describe how you actively engage and assist students to access the curriculum.
I don't really understand exactly what is being asked...are you wanting to know how to engage students in a lesson or are you wanting to know how to educate your students about curriculum standards and core content?
In order to actively engage students in the curriculum, I have to get them excited about what they are learning. That means I have to find a way to present the information that will "hook them." This means using a different "bag of tricks" each time. Sometimes, I use technology to "wow" them. Other times, I use the "hands on" approach. Still other times, I create books that will grab their attention by telling them "why" they should learn about a particular topic, and making it relevent to them.
