Need some quick help/advice So a former professor of mine emailed me because a school district emailed her looking for immediate help. And when I say immediate I mean school starts on Thurs. They are looking for an English teacher to teach all 4 HS grades (9-12) and 2 electives, (one ELL class and one computer class). Here is the thing, I am in the middle of my credentialing program, haven't yet started student teaching but I have been on a path where I could obtain my Intern Credential through the CTC (Im in California.) I have the interview tomorrow and I am assuming there is only one or two other people interviewing because they told me they are making their decision tomorrow and they only have 3 spots to select for interview time. I've browsed these forums enough to know what to kind of expect as interview questions and I already know what I am going to ask as far questions to them. But how can I make myself the most desirable candidate possible? I have little classroom experience (Only taught a few writing workshops during my undergrad) and no Subbing experience whatsoever (I was planning on subbing for the county where I live, gotten certified and everything) Its an extremely small school (80 students I believe) and I am going to review the SARC tonight so I am prepared for that. I figure if I have to do student teaching anyways why not get paid for it if possible, Yes? Anything you guys can offer I would love to hear. Thanks in advance!
