    Need some quick help/advice

So a former professor of mine emailed me because a school district emailed her looking for immediate help. And when I say immediate I mean school starts on Thurs. They are looking for an English teacher to teach all 4 HS grades (9-12) and 2 electives, (one ELL class and one computer class).

Here is the thing, I am in the middle of my credentialing program, haven't yet started student teaching but I have been on a path where I could obtain my Intern Credential through the CTC (Im in California.)

I have the interview tomorrow and I am assuming there is only one or two other people interviewing because they told me they are making their decision tomorrow and they only have 3 spots to select for interview time.

I've browsed these forums enough to know what to kind of expect as interview questions and I already know what I am going to ask as far questions to them.

But how can I make myself the most desirable candidate possible? I have little classroom experience (Only taught a few writing workshops during my undergrad) and no Subbing experience whatsoever (I was planning on subbing for the county where I live, gotten certified and everything)

Its an extremely small school (80 students I believe) and I am going to review the SARC tonight so I am prepared for that.

I figure if I have to do student teaching anyways why not get paid for it if possible, Yes?

Anything you guys can offer I would love to hear. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a good gig. Play up your best qualities and if you have any volunteer experience that will work well for you. Mostly, you just need to be yourself and likable.

That's really great that you got it! It's cool that you actually will get paid to student teach. When I did my teaching internship and counseling internship, we have to interview for jobs where you get $0.00!!! I think these days there are some paid internships going around so that's wonderful for you to get the experience and some cash coming through :)
