It's Winter Break!

Yay! I needed this break. The only bummer, is I am going to have to do report cards over the break. Boo! But I guess it's okay since I can do them in my PJs!

2 more days here--we have a full day on Friday. Then, off until January 8th!

Today was the teachers' last day - kids finished yesterday. Best part was that our P took us to Dave and Buster's for lunch and team building, and then I got to get drinks with coworkers after.

Though I'm also starting winter break with a cold and I have no decongestants, but oh well. I have two weeks to sleep it off.

 

I have one more day!! Friday/the 22nd counts as an "observed Christmas Eve" so I guess that's why we get tomorrow as our last day

We finished today and go back Jan. 3. I’ll be thinking of those of you going until Friday.

 

It's a pretty light day--full school spirit assembly in the morning for about 90 minutes and either class parties, a movie or a dance in the afternoon. I'll only be with my class in the classroom for about 80 minutes.

 

Today was the last day with kids; PD all day tomorrow.

 

When do you guys return from the break? Mine officially started on December 16th and will end on January 3rd.

 

We have school Christmas presentation tomorrow, then the staff goes out to lunch, and we're done. Back to school Jan 8. That's our latest start ever.

 

We have such a short break this year. We only have off 6 school days. Wah wah

Yesterday was our last day (a half day) and we don't go back until the 8th. I needed this break badly!

 

Same with us. Full day tomorrow and then off until the 8th. I'd rather go longer in December so we go back later in January. I'll get Christmas crazy done at the beginning of the break and then have ample time to recover before going back.

 

We only have 8 school days off. I suppose the weekends make up for it, but it still doesn't feel the same.

 

We head back Jan. 2nd. We have 2 teacher work days then the kids come on Thursday.

 

My last day was the 15th (half day) and teachers go back January 2nd. Kids come back the 3rd. It's flying by!

So, I'm finally on break. Last day was Friday. And here I am on a Sunday, wide awake at 7:00 a.m.... hoping my body will unwind over the course of the next 2 weeks and I won't always be up before the sun.

 

Wow, this makes me glad that I work at a private school. My breaks are way better than yours. 6 or 8 days sucks for Christmas Break sucks...! I even get Easter off and we have a short day every week.
