I'm curious - what items do you never have enough of? I have a few things I want to ask for next year that aren't on the normal supply list.

Post-Its are at the top of my list!

Clear tape is another item. I don't let the kids use mine very often, because if they do, they tend to go crazy with it and it will be out in no time at all.

Last year, I would have said Kleenex - but I guess my kids this year are less sniffly (or less prone to using Kleenex as an excuse to leave their seats).

We aren't allowed to as for things that are outside of the norm. If we were, though, most definitely post-its, highlighters, and I'd double the pencil requirement!!!!!!!

I have one kid who is about to get a daily Kleenex limit.

    Sticky notes, index cards, pens.

I swear, my desk eats pens.

My desk eats my good pens. Cheap ones that don't work are plentiful.

Kleenex and paper towels are always good items to keep on hand.

    Good pencils, too...

My sharpener will only sharpen the expensive ones (Ticonderoga). It whittles down the other ones. I feel like a pencil snob asking for expensive brands, but really, the others are unusable.

Have any of you ever received school supplies from Yoobi? They sent about a hundred huge boxes full of school supplies to my school for free because we are classified as extreme poverty. Each box has a class set of folders, glue, scissors, glue sticks, pencils, crayons, markers, rulers, erasers, pencil pouches, stickers, and probably a million other things. Some of the items are not the greatest, but most of them are just fine, plus they are free. See if you can sign up through their website to receive these donations if your school qualifies.

That is so cool! I'm not sure my school would qualify. It makes me happy it happens though.

    Here's a unique one: water :p

We don't have running water in the classroom or nearby (we're in the portable), so we have a water dispenser, and man, we go through it like crazy!

Does your school provide that, or parents?

Thankfully, the PTSA, considering we go through a 5-gallon jug every few days!

Dry erase markers! Even though I have tried to train my kids to write lightly, many of them have OT concerns and press like they are trying to kill the board and/or marker. Consequently we only write with the dry erase makers on special occasions.

This is a wonderful idea! I tried to find the link to apply for a classroom pack on the Yoobi website but didn't see one. Can anyone help me find it? Thanks in advance!
