I hate to brag, but I am! -I have a wonderful group of students!!! I was given a handful of very low SPED students with behavior problems, and they are all doing very well! I also have only 20 students in my class. They are overall very respectful, and SO excited about learning. The littlest things motivate them. -I feel like I am a much better 2nd grade teacher than I was last year. It's my 5th year teaching, and I feel like I am finally understanding my "teaching personality." After a year of feeling so unsure of myself and my career choice, I am really excited! -I am right where I need to be with the curriculum. Last year I was ALWAYS behind, so it's a good feeling. -I am collaborating with our technology and literacy specialists on some fun projects this year. I am excited to see how my students will benefit from the new things I will be trying. -I told myself I was going to avoid the negativity this year. I am, and it's working. My own attitude has changed immensely. I have never been so happy to go to work each day, and I feel relaxed and energized. I used to feel crabby when recess was over, or when I had to pick my class up from specials. No crabby feelings this year! Is anyone else off to a great start?
