I have 3 iphones, not all at once of course. I have the first iphone the day it came out. Cost me $600 for the first generation. Yes, i had it before it went down in price.. then the 3G came out, so I bought another one for $400, then I dropped it, and the screen broke so I bought another one...

I pay about $85 dollars a moth with a data plan which plushes my district e-mail directly to me... and other data stuff.....

I'm really an Apple loyalist, I mainly only use macs...I have a macbook pro and a powerbook and they sync really nicely with the iphone...I would recommend it; but if u drop it, it's like $400 down the drain, and u have to buy a new one.. so keep that in mind.

Can I jump in here and ask about iphones too? I would love to get one, but I live in a small rural community that has only 2 cellphone service providers, Alltel and Verizon. I don't think the iphone works on either of those networks, does it? What would be a phone comparable to the iphone that I could use with these networks? I'd really like one that syncs with my macbook, ical, itunes etc rather seamlessly. Anyone? Anyone?

You can get the iPhone to work on other networks but you would have to jailbreak it and that would void your warranty and I believe you would lose some of the features so in my opinion it isn't worth it!

I have heard Verizon has some pretty nice phones...of course not as nice as an iPhone. (and I say that because I own an iPhone and just love it!)

I have the 3G iphone...pay about 90 a month with taxes...pretty pricey...but I use it for work email too. Helps when I'm not near a computer and get emailed a question.

I have a plain old cell phone, but I have the I-pod touch. It can do everything the iphone does, but it's not a phone.

ipod touch doesn't have wireless internet like a 3G network, you'll need wifi. So you can't get mail every where you go, you would need a hotspot or wifi. I also don't think it has a GPS unit inside. So It's missing a few stuff..

I'm looking for a new phone and provider as well as my Sprint contract will run out in January and I'm DONE with them! I don't know about the iPhone but I'm thinking about going with Verizon and getting a Blackberry Storm, though I hesitate to do so because they're so new that I know once people get them, all we'll hear about are their flaws so I don't know!

My husband has a Blackberry and my daughter has an I-Phone. We have AT& T with unlimited data and text messaging on 5 phones. We were paying $245.00 a month but the I-Phone brought it up $30.00 more a month to $275.00. Since we had unlimited data, I am not really sure what the difference is with her I-Phone. The extra $30 is for I-Phone service and I am not sure she gets anything different than we do. I can connect to the Internet and check e-mail anywhere which is all that I want to do.
