Who has an Ipad and what do you use it for in the classroom?

I have one of my own and the school recently acquired one too, but I have no idea how to best use it. Hoping to see some ideas here. Thanks for starting the thread.

My school recently bought a cart with 30 iPads. They just arrived on Thursday last week, so we haven't had the opportunity to use them yet. But the first thing I am going to have them do is research a planet for their first report. Second, we are going on a leaf hunt. Students will take pictures of pictures and use the app "Leafsnap" to identify and record their discoveries.

I use my iPad to take attendance first thing in the morning. It is so much easier than having to go to the back of the room and enter it on my desktop. Also, I enter grades using it. During class time, I control powerpoints with it and use it to pull up videos, documents, websites, etc. I let students who were absent take the ipad to their seats so they can copy missed notes or take a quiz. The uses are almost endless!
