My students will be taking the IOWA test in a week, is there anything that I could use to help prepare them for it? We use to take the Stanford and this is our second year taking the IOWA, all our students did horrible on it last year. We take it early on in the year, and we didnt know they were changing it until the last minute. Any advice?

The hardest part for my 6th graders last year was grammar- sentence correction.

Our students take the IOWAs in October.

As teachers, there isn't really a whole lot we do to prepare for them. The only thing our principal has us do before then is remind our students that it is okay to choose "all of the above" or "none of the above" as an answer because apparently, if they get an answer that's not an option they just choose the answer closest to what they got.

The week of, we keep the homework load to a minimum. I give my class mints and allow them to chew gum while taking it.
